About the Artist

Catholic. Creative. Cultivator.
I am a Catholic educator, creative to the core, cultivating curiosity
and a love for creating one project at a time. Whether it be in the classroom, in the studio, or anywhere in between, art has always been the lens I see the world.
From exploring color and shapes with PreK students to learning observational drawing and developing real artistic voice with high schoolers, there is something uniquely rewarding, about meeting each of those ages where they are, and pushing them to look further. I've come to believe that teaching art means allowing students to discover their own thoughts and develop their own voice in a creative way.
That belief is part of why I'm currently pursuing my Master's in Art Education at Northern Illinois University, I wanted to formalize and deepen a practice I'd already been building through years of personal practice and time with children of all ages. Outside of teaching, I keep a personal studio practice that moves between two and three dimensions, from painting, drawing, and ceramics, because I've never been able to settle on just one way of making. Whether I'm in front of a class or alone in the studio, the same instinct drives me: stay curious, keep making, and trust that the process is where the real learning happens.
